Steve, a former Indiana securities commissioner, is an experienced lecturer in securities, insurance, merger and acquisitions, business start-ups, business structures, and real estate.

He has helped to form more than 20 insurance companies and served as the president of a credit life and disability insurance company, as well as an Indiana medical malpractice insurance company with a wide experience in insurance and securities regulatory matters.

"I really enjoy working with the people you meet in this practice area," Steve says. "They're entrepreneurial."

He received his doctor of jurisprudence degree from the Indiana University School of Law, Bloomington.

Steve's legal interests reach from working with new businesses to those with seasonal growth.

Steve, who enjoys opera and symphony, has been a 30-year season ticket holder of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra.

"I like all kinds of music, but I really enjoy classical music," Steve says. "It is some of the most beautiful music ever written."

Steve also has served as both president and board chairman of the Indiana division of the American Cancer Society. He has served as a national board member for the Society.
